Dr. Nyree Berry

Dr. Nyree Berry is a Professor of Sociology at Los Angeles City College in Los Angeles, Ca. Her teaching pedagogy is infused with social theory and “real life” applications. She aims to ensure students have an understanding of the complex social issues they may encounter throughout life. Dr. Berry is also a successful entrepreneur of Audacity Mentoring and Personal Development Academy, Inc. where she mentors and tutors young adults from marginalized communities. Dr. Berry holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Sociology. She earned her Master of Arts degree from the Cal-State, Dominguez Hills, and her doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. She has been awarded the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States Congress for outstanding and valuable community service and a Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles for promoting health awareness.
