Our sponsors logos have been featured on Desert Living, Eye on the Desert, Live Magazine Tv, Palm Springs Life, Coachella Valley Magazine & Palm Springs Live Magazine. In order to reduce our carbon footprint (save paper & printer ink) we’re reaching out to potential sponsors via email. The 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration being held on Sunday June 11th 2023 will incorporate Education, Dance, Music, Art & Local Vendors. We will focus more heavily on the Civil Rights Movement, African American History, Activism & Dispelling the negative stereotypes & myths that plague our community which aid in propagating the dehumanization of African Americans.
SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL ~ WHAT: Juneteenth Celebration ~ WHERE: Palm Springs Cultural Center ~ WHEN: Sunday June 11th 2pm - 8:30pm ABOUT The Celebration is an all inclusive event for all ages, genders, sexual orientations, religious beliefs & ethnicities. We aims to enlighten & educate the Coachella Valley through dance, fashion, music, food & art the rich heritage & history of African Americans. This year we will add new elements like community interactive experiences w/a drum circle, live performance art, African American LGBTIA icons & their contribution to Black History exhibit. We will continue to focus on the Civil Rights Movement, Activism & Dispelling the negative stereotypes that plague our community & propagate the dehumanization of African Americans in today’s society. The Juneteenth Celebration will feature budding local youth artists, live music, art, food, dance, poetry, performance art, various vendors from throughout the Coachella Valley & discussions. ~Benefits to the Community The Celebration will benefit the Palm Springs Community in many ways including giving the public an opportunity to experience some of the most relevant and current fashion, music & art in the state. The public can also participate in the many projects at the celebration whether it is conversing w/the vendors, artist & celebrity guest/s or just enjoying the unique atmosphere that will be found. The celebration will draw many people to downtown Palm Springs both from inside and outside of the Coachella Valley to spend the day at the celebration with most of them also supporting local businesses such as hotels, restaurants, shops and clubs. The economic benefits also extend to the artists & vendors that will sell their unique works at the celebration & will give them an opportunity to increase their visibility and expand their audience. We estimate that the average attendee will spend at least $825 in Palm Springs during their visit bringing in much needed revenue to our Downtown economy. This festival is unique to the city as it provides the best opportunity for Urban Artists to be showcased and celebrated for the positive cultural impact they have on the society.
