Icon City has spent years building spaces where Black gay and queer people can gather, breathe, and recognize themselves in each other. We are extending that work to Sacramento, and we are looking for the people who are ready to help shape what it becomes.

I’ve spent the last several years working closely with Black-led organizations across culture, community, advocacy, and service. Some are more than thirty years old. Others are barely five. Yet across that range, I’ve begun to notice a quiet and recurring pattern.
